COMBATING CLIMATE CHANGE

KMC is taking serious government’s 15 billion trees cover program over next 10 years in a bid to combat climate change.

Led by Major A Mwangi the Commission joined hands with Athi River Area Chief, Ms Cecilia Nzioka accompanied by the Assistant Chief, Athi River North, Ms Nelly Mutunkei, Ast Chief Athi River township, Mr Martin Ngomo, Ast Chief Oloshaiki, Mr David Kivayian and the Nyumba Kumi group as well as the Community elders in planting several trees.

The trees were donated by the Ministry of Interior through Kenya Forestry Services.

KMC is glad to be part of this great initiative and pleased to partner with other stakeholders in the fight against global warming and climate change.
