CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) was established in 1950 through an Act of parliament (KENYA MEAT ACT CAP 363) with an objective of providing a ready market for livestock farmers and providing high quality meat and meat products to consumers. It is a public institution and by far the oldest and the most experienced meat processor in Kenya and the East African region.

To enhance its capacity and effectively achieve the core mandate of KMC, the Commission shall license some of its know-how, procedures, intellectual property, use of its business model, brand, and rights to sell its branded products and services to a franchisee. In return the franchisee shall pay a certain fee and agree to the terms and conditions advanced by the Commission upon signing of a franchising contract that is legally binding.

Completed bid documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the name;
“EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR FRANCHISING AGREEMENTS” and be deposited in the designated Box at the main reception, headquarter branch in Athiriver or be addressed to KENYA MEAT COMMISSION P.O. BOX 2 – 00204 ATHI-RIVER so as to be received on or before THURSDAY 16 FEBRUARY,2023 11:00AM (EAT)
