DEDAN KIMATHI FOUNDATION PAID A COURTESY CALL TO KENYA MEAT COMMISSION (KMC) IN ATHI RIVER.

On Thursday 15th January 2026, Dedan Kimathi Foundation paid a courtesy call to Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) in Athi River. The Managing Commissioner Maj Gen Jattani Gula and the Deputy Managing Commissioner Brig C K Nyakundi engaged the team on matters of environmental conservation.

Since the launch of the National 15 billion tree growing and forests restoration campaign was launched by H.E William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, tree growing has continued to be a priority action to our foundation and partners. In this light, the foundation has maintained high interests to work with partners to conduct sustainable tree growing activities around the country.

Ms. Evelyn delivered 20,000 polythene bags and assorted indigenous tree seeds such as Meru oak, Ekerbagia, Croton megalocarpus, Syzigium guinense, Cordia africana and Cuppresus lusitannica.

The foundation pledged to support the Commission in provision of potting bags/tubes, seeds, pricks and technical support to expand the commission’s tree nursery inorder to meet our target.
