KIBARANI ISO QMS 9001:2015 SENSITIZATION

Today marked the end of a three (3) day training that saw 150 employees from the three (3) Kenya Meat Commission branches :- Athi River, Landhies Road depot and Kibarani sensitized on ISO QMS 9001:2015.

The awareness training which was led by the Managing Commissioner Brig James N Githaga, Chief Operations Officer Col Mohammed O. Rajab and the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Management Representative Lt Col J Makwata was facilitated by Mr Benjamin Wesonga Panyako, Ms. Hellen Wahu and Ms Terry John from the Kenya Bureau of Standards(KEBS). The facilitators ensured that the employees grasped the basics of ISO QMS 9001:2015 that would assist them to coordinate and direct the organizations activities to meet customer & regulatory requirements while improving the Commission’s effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.

ISO QMS 9001:2015 is the most recognized and implemented quality management system standard in the world which specifies the requirements for quality management systems that organizations can use to develop their own programs.

Staff who hold quality related positions in any organization are used to making judgements and drawing conclusions based on data rather than opinions and gut feelings, objectivity vs. subjectivity and structured problem solving compared to guessing.
