The Equity Kenya delegation led by its Managing Director (MD), Mr Gerald Warui in company of Mr David Nyamu, Marketing Director and Ms Irene Irungu, Snr Public Sector Banking, paid KMC’s Managing Commissioner’s office a courtesy call.

Discussions held were around various ways the Commission and bank can partner to bolster financial support to KMC stakeholders and employees.
Facilitation of farmers training under equity bank Agri business concept. Capacity building through training is an important and key strategy to ensure farmers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to enhance good farming practices.
  • Areas of partnership identified were;
    Empowering farmers especially ranchers and feed lotters to produce quality livestock for the Commission in order to guarantee quality, safe and healthy meat and meat products production.
  • Support to KMC franchise investors.
    Currently the Commission has established five (5) franchise outlets in Ongata Rongai, Kiambu Road, City Market, Lang’ata and Emabakasi Barracks. Plans are underway to expand in other areas of the country.
Lastly, empowering KMC staff/ employees through unsecured personal loans.
KMC Management present were; Managing Commissioner, Brigadier James N. Githaga, Deputy Managing Commissioner and Chief Operations Officer, Col Rajab O. Omari, Lt. Col Samuel Kinuthia among others.
KMC believes in partnerships with like-minded Institutions and individuals.
